Staff Spotlight: Timothy Fountain

Tim Fountain is in his first school year as a Mental Health Worker in the Colonial IU 20 Therapeutic Emotional Support Program. He says that "Building relationships with the students has been a major contribution to connecting with the students. This also applies to the staff as well because building these relationships has helped so much when it comes to running a classroom and being on the same page."

Daria Scott, Supervisor of the Therapeutic Emotional Support Program, says that "Tim’s impact extends beyond just his classroom. His efforts contribute to a stronger, more cohesive support system for students, fostering a culture of trust, safety, and emotional growth. His dedication to TES Nation is invaluable, and it’s evident that his work is making a lasting difference in the lives of his students."

Daria also highlights his willingness to partner with other CIU 20 programs, "Tim's collaboration with the IBHS program and use of universal protocols demonstrates his proactive approach to behavior management, which is clearly yielding positive results. A reduction of over 30 restraints compared to last year is an outstanding achievement, reflecting his ability to create a structured and supportive environment for his students."
