The "Launch into STEM Learning Summit" was held on April 11th at the Lehigh Valley Conference Center. Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 hosted the event in collaboration with Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 as part of the continued work associated with the PA Smart Advancing Grant. Participants networked with colleagues and learned about resources that support student-centered learning within the Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (STEELS) Standards.
Dr. John Spencer and Mr. Ryne Anthony provided keynote addresses and attendees explored various products from STEM vendors throughout the day. The following CIU 20 member districts attended the event: East Stroudsburg Area SD, Easton Area SD, Nazareth Area SD, Northampton Area SD, Pleasant Valley SD, Pocono Mountain SD and Wilson Area SD.
