On April 5, 2022 renowned artist Victor Stabin met with students at Liberty High School about exploring the creative process and how they can reach their artistic potential. Students in the IU classrooms of Michelle Davis (Multi-Disabilities Support) and Christine Bloch (Hearing Support) joined students from the general education classroom of Heidi Landis (Art). CIU 20 strives to create inclusion opportunities like this for students with special needs to collaborate and learn with their peers.
Victor Stabin authored the book Daedal Doodle: The ABC Book for the Ages that helps children develop literacy skills, creative writing skills, and encourages artistic endeavors. His work has been featured in publications like Time, Newsweek, and Rolling Stone. His credits also include nine postage stamps commissioned by the US Postal service, a mural for RCA/BMG’s headquarters, and the cover of the KISS album, “Unmasked." A museum of his creations is located in Jim Thorpe, PA.
