A Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is a term used to describe an evidence-based model that
uses data-based problem-solving to integrate academic and behavioral instruction, social-emotional,
and intervention. MTSS is complex and often takes 3-5 years to fully implement. This professional
development session will focus on integrated instruction as well as defining the varying intensities
(multiple tiers) based on students' needs. Participants will be engaged in a conversation involving
beginning implementation steps as well as being able to identify what MTSS is and how to begin it's
implementation.
