It's hard to stop doing things that one has been doing for a long time. Old habits die hard, particularly when they are part of the unexamined norms of schooling. This is especially true when it comes to teaching
practices and pedagogy. This session will examine various instructional practices that can
undermine student learning and achievement. Recommendations that help to foster positive
gains in education will be shared.
