Description
A Self-Organized Learning Environment or SOLE is an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to student-centered learning that provides a platform for student collaboration, problem-solving, and discovery using just electronic devices and an internet connection. With SOLE, students foster their critical thinking, curiosity, creativity, and communication skills as they navigate around a question of inquiry. SOLE lessons can be adopted for either face-to-face or remote settings in most subject areas.
Learner Outcomes
Participants will:
Engage in a SOLE session as an adult learner .
Identify the role of the teacher throughout the SOLE learning process.
Examine how to authentically measure student participation and learning in the context of a SOLE lesson.
Explore the resources available to prepare a SOLE lesson.
