Colonial Intermediate Unit has been notified by the Department of Education that our Act 183 Grant application has been funded in the amount of $1,280,557 over a two year period. The grant was funded at a level of $606,122 for year one and $674,435 for year two. This grant will help provide funding for the development of technology infrastructure related to the Wide Area Network (WAN) and for the development of academic content that can utilize the WAN network. Ten CIU20 districts and all three CTCs participated in the grant application and will benefit from this funding. Notification of funding categories and approved projects is anticipated within the next two weeks.
