Pleasant Valley Intermediate School Emotional Support Students Win Cupstacking Championship (5/20/2010)

The students in Ms. Angelika Piel’s Emotional Support class at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School won the Cupstacking Championship that was held at CIU20 on May 3, 2010.  They participated in the final competition with the students in the Partial Hospitalization Program at Northeast Middle School in Bethlehem.
Cupstacking is an activity where individuals stack and unstack plastic cups in pre-determined patterns as quickly as possible. This activity helps students to improve their focus and attention, self-esteem, and their ability to work as a team.
Pictured from left to right are Pleasant Valley School District students Tyler Quiles, Mrs. Piel (Teacher), Rafael Trinidad, Louis Dominico, and Julisa Cassese.
