Navigation for Technology The mission of the Educational Technology functional area is to provide service to member school districts, career technology centers, and non-Public schools to assist them in integrating technology into classroom instruction and professional development. Services provided include the following programs:

The Educational Technology Coordinator provides a routine schedule of fact-to-face, online and on-demand training classes related to technology and the integration of technology into classroom instruction. Topics include:
  • Wiki development and use
  • Podcasting for the classroom
  • Blogs in the classroom
  • Promethean interactive white board training
  • SMART interactive white board training
  • Internet2 in the classroom
  • Internet2 content development
  • Intel “TEACH” curriculum
  • On-line course development
  • Google Earth
  • Google Documents
Additionally, training topics are developed and presented on an ongoing basis as new technologies, methods and software become available.

Educational technology support is also provided for the staff that serves students in classrooms operated by the Intermediate Unit.
